1. What PageSweep does
PageSweep is a Chrome extension that captures a scrollable webpage, assembles the captured sections into one PNG, and saves the finished image through Chrome’s download system.
2. Page content and screenshots
PageSweep temporarily accesses the active webpage only after the user initiates a capture. Captured image frames are processed and assembled locally within the extension.
PageSweep does not upload captured webpage content, screenshots, or completed PNG files to a PageSweep or JDAC LLC server.
The completed PNG is saved using Chrome’s configured download location and download settings.
3. Information stored locally
PageSweep may store limited operational information in Chrome’s local extension storage, including:
- the number of successful captures;
- whether the first-run guide has been dismissed; and
- the timing of beta-feedback reminders.
This information remains in the user’s browser profile and is not transmitted to JDAC LLC by PageSweep.
4. Information PageSweep does not collect
PageSweep does not intentionally collect:
- browsing history;
- webpage content;
- completed screenshots;
- passwords or login credentials;
- payment information;
- personal files;
- analytics or advertising identifiers; or
- location information.
PageSweep does not sell personal information or use captured content for advertising, profiling, or artificial-intelligence model training.
5. Chrome permissions
PageSweep requests the following permissions to operate:
- Active tab: Temporarily accesses the current page after the user clicks PageSweep.
- Scripting: Runs the capture and page-measurement functions on the temporarily authorized page.
- Offscreen: Provides the image and canvas functions required to assemble captured frames.
- Downloads: Saves the completed PNG through Chrome.
- Storage: Saves limited local preferences and capture-reminder information.
PageSweep does not request permanent access to every website.
6. Beta feedback
PageSweep’s public beta may provide an optional link to a Google Forms feedback survey. Opening or submitting that form is voluntary.
PageSweep does not automatically send captured webpage content or locally stored extension information to the feedback form.
Information submitted through Google Forms is processed according to Google’s applicable privacy terms and the settings of the form. Users should not submit confidential webpage captures, credentials, private client information, health information, or other sensitive material through the feedback form.
7. Third-party services
PageSweep relies on Google Chrome for extension operation, page capture, local extension storage, and file downloads. Chrome’s handling of browser and account information is governed by Google’s policies.
GitHub may be used to distribute the public-beta installation files. Visiting or downloading from GitHub is governed by GitHub’s policies.
8. Data retention and deletion
PageSweep does not maintain a server-side database of captured content or user activity.
Users can remove PageSweep’s locally stored preferences by removing the extension or clearing its extension data through Chrome. Downloaded PNG files remain under the user’s control and must be deleted by the user if no longer wanted.
Information voluntarily submitted through the beta-feedback form is retained according to the form owner’s settings and applicable Google Forms controls.
9. Children’s privacy
PageSweep is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. JDAC LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children through PageSweep.
10. Security
PageSweep minimizes data exposure by processing captures locally and avoiding a PageSweep-operated upload or storage service. No software or local environment can be guaranteed completely secure, and users should protect downloaded screenshots that contain confidential or sensitive information.
11. Changes to this policy
JDAC LLC may update this policy as PageSweep changes. The effective date at the top of the page will identify the current version. Material changes affecting data collection or use will be reflected before or when the applicable feature is released.
